E-911

We've come a long way in communications capabilities.  The picture on the left is before E-911 the picture on the right, is one of three state of the art communication stations in our E-911 Communication center.  Along with our digital radio system, we have cellular 911 location capabilities for all the cellular services operating in Lincoln County.  With GIS mapping, we can locate a house or other building much sooner than if it had to be looked up by hand, enhancing our response times.  The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department Communications Center handles all 911 calls in Lincoln County and dispatches all Police, Fire, and EMS services within Lincoln County.  We are also the answering point for CrimeStoppers.
